Mallory is an DLC girl in Crush Crush, available as a DLC bundle or by owning Cabin Fever instead (Steam only). She is the forty-sixth (46th) addition to the main list.

You first meet Mallory while you are hiking a mountain (and avoiding several hazards), when you find her and bring her into your home, sensing a connection the two of you share...

Personality

Mallory is the main love interest of Cabin Fever. She is wholesome, curious and helpful, constantly doing things to try and make your life easier such as tidying your house and cooking for you, she also loves to learn, likes space, and takes interests in some of your hobbies.

She also suffers from a fever (known as ViVID-22 in Cabin Fever) which slowly manifests the more you get to know her, she tries to hide it so as not to burden you and possibly because she doesn't want to believe it herself.

You’re not sure why, but it feels like you’ve known Mallory in a dozen different lifetimes. In every one of them, you meet, you fall in love, and your choices shape her destiny in ways you cannot predict. Sometimes you save her. Sometimes you lose her. It’s pretty intense.

Trivia

Mallory is a crossover character from the game Cabin Fever (another game published by Sad Panda Studio and developed by Steamy Buns Games, a team made up of employees from Sad Panda Studios).
Mallory shares the same first name as her voice actor Mallory Echelmeyer who voices her in both Cabin Fever and Crush Crush.
Mallory has been in consideration for being in Crush Crush by the devs since July 14, 2021.^[2]
- The devs may have taken some inspired by this Steam Discussion.^[3]
Mallory was first announced for Crush Crush Valentines 2022 on the Steams Beta Release discussion page.^[4]
Mallory's character bundle was added after Mallory was added to the game, and for a few days the only way you could get Mallory in Crush Crush was to own Cabin Fever.
After the Mallory character bundle was released in Crush Crush, Cabin Fever was given its biggest discount yet at half off to celebrate^[5]
In her bundle, Mallory's height is listed as 5'1".
Mallory mentioning her hair clip was her mother’s and that her dress was a hand me down are new bits of lore not brought up in Cabin Fever.
A vast majority of Mallory's lines reference lines and endings in Cabin Fever.
Mallory makes several references to alternate timelines, this is in reference to the fact that she is not only from another game, but also to the fact that Cabin Fever features multiple endings based on the choices you make.
- Mallory also believes in Cabin Fever that her meeting the Protagonist was probably fate (fate being another thing Mallory brings up in Crush Crush).
Mallory’s birthday of July 12 is a reference to the release date of Cabin Fever.
Mallory’s Default outfit and Birthday suit sprites are reused from Cabin Fever.
- The School Uniform and Unique Outfit Sprites are modified versions of sprites also reused from Cabin Fever.
Mallorys Bathing Suit features strawberries in reference to a scene in Cabin Fever where Mallory has strawberries for the first time.
During Mallory's encounter cutscene you are able to make a choice in the style of Cabin Fevers choice prompts, picking the second option adds one unique additional line of dialogue for the cutscene.
- But regardless of the choice you make, you proceed to bring Mallory home anyway.
Mallory’s occupation as a planetarium guide references the planetarium she used to live by in Cabin Fever and always wanted to go to but never got the chance to.
The constant references to potatoes are a reference to Mallory's favorite food, Potato Pancakes, which her mother used to make for her and she tries to make for the protagonist of Cabin Fever where it becomes a reoccurring thing that is brought up.
Mallory is referencing Lola, the protagonist of Cabin Fever’s dog, when she says, "My dream house is a cabin in the woods, with a great big garden and a chicken coop and maybe even a dog."
Mallory brings up her sister several times, her sister being a character who is also talked about in Cabin Fever.
Mallory has 7 unique gifts, 6 of which replace several standard gifts and reference items in Cabin Fever as well as Mallory's interests and remedies for a fever.
Mallory has unique voice lines for when she's given the Medicine and the Baby Chick.
Mallory's scarf in the sightseeing CG looks like wings, possibly in reference to both her hair clip and a design document released on the Sad Panda Studios Patreon that says, "back of her hair could look like wings".
Mallory's Line of, "I heard there's going to be a meteor shower tonight! Let's find a cozy spot to sit and watch the sunset, and then, once it's dark, we can look for shooting stars." currently does not play any voice line.
One of her quotes in Awkward Besties, is a quote from Sam in Lord of the Rings.^[6]
- Interestingly, in Cabin Fever, the protagonist also mentions that Mallory could be the Sam to their Frodo.
Mallory is the Third Phone Fling girl who got her Voice Actor (in sync of "Phone Call" feature) after Renée and Nova.
Her zodiac sign is Cancer.
