Cassie is one of the main characters in Hush Hush. She is one of the five Destined Maidens, and is a feisty fashionista that loves conflict and getting her way. Although she puts up a wicked front, she actually has a soft side and a generous spirit. You just need to get to know her!

Personality

After her first meeting with the player goes awry, Cassie is brash and rude to the player. She often is controlling to the player, and will get upset if the player doesn't go along with her ideas. Over time, she begins to be more compassionate and loving to the player, and shows a much more vulnerable side of her. She's very affectionate, often hugging and kissing and enjoys romantic acts by the player. She's also very self-conscious about seeming improper in fancy places due to being laughed at when she was as child after ordering pizza at an Italian Bistro. During her dates to the Restaurant and the Vineyard, she tries to act proper and gets embarrassed when she falls back on old habits.

History

As a child, Cassie grew up in a difficult rural household. Her mother "had a lot of problems", and her step-father was an alcoholic, who would get into screaming matches with Cassie when she was as young as seven years old. Due to this, she began acting out as a delinquent, which eventually led to her step-father kicking her out of the house.

Eventually Cassie ended up drifting to the city. While she was scrounging to make ends meet, she met Mel at a bus stop, who took her in. Having grown up on the streets herself, Mel did her best to help anyone she found in a similar situation, and allowed Cassie to stay with her.

Four years after their first encounter, Mel was diagnosed with breast cancer. Cassie loaned money from the Subrosa Drug Cartel, using that to pay the hospital fees and renovate the house to be accessible for Mel. After five weeks, however, Mel suddenly took a turn for the worse and passed away.

Unable to recover the money from the hospital, as she wanted to avoid them checking where it had come from, Cassie was stuck with the whole debt, and became a drug mule in order to pay it off.

Events

July 12/13 - Evening

• Player encounters Cassie in Town while she's waiting for her boss.
  • There are three options here that require Level 36, Level 39 and Level 4 Suave.

Trivia

• Her canon death can occur on July 23rd and July 30th, the earliest and latest of any Destined girl.
• At a height of 5'1", Cassie is the shortest dateable character in the game.
• It can be assumed that she is the only other known Destined that Quill encountered, given the latter's dialogue on their 4th date.

Secrets

Cassie has five secrets, like the other Destined Maidens.

1, Afternoon of July 4 or 5	Cassie first secret may make your head twirl. Just ask the hard question- "do you even 'lift', girl?"
2, Evening of July 9	In Week 2, for Cassie, you can't be too weak. When she's speaking in private, you must take a peek.
3, Evening of July 19	For Cassie's third secret, your patience is tried. Don't let her be rude. Don't let her phone slide.
4, Evening of July 23	Cassie's fourth secret is the hardest to find. You'll need a buff bod. But also your mind.
5, Morning of July 30	Cassie's last secret will cost you, I fear. Money or Violence. The line's drawn here.

1	Cassie admitted to sometimes shoplifting, and doesn't seem overly concerned with breaking the law. (Requires the player to ask her if she shoplifts during their first date)
2	You overheard Cassie speaking with Lilianna. They spoke about keeping Cassie 'in line' before a 'job' next week. (Requires the player to eavesdrop on Cassie and Lilianna during their second date)
3	Cassie admitted that she works for a gang of criminals. She is being forced to work for them because she 'owes' them.
4	Cassie's borrowed money to save a sick friend, but they died anyway. Now she doesn't know how to free herself.
5	Cassie told you the exact amount she's in debt - $86,000. You decide to take care of things yourself...

Deaths

As with all Destined Maidens, their death will lead to a Game Over. There are three possible deaths in the game for Cassie.

• You can get her "Bad Pizza" and "No Such Thing as Bad Pizza" endings after letting her eat pizza that Luigi threw out at the end of the 24th, or by missing any date of hers after the first one (chibi death 1).
• Her "Shop 'til You Drop" ending occurs if you block her number or miss her date on July 5th. She shops so much that she is crushed under the weight of her bags (chibi death 2).
• Her canon death ("Completely Compressed Cassie Ending") occurs when you fail to earn Lilianna's respect in a fight or try to pay off her debt to the cartel and don't have the required amount ($200,000). After failing to negotiate with Lilianna, you return to her apartment only to see she's missing. After some searching, you find her corpse crushed underneath some dumpsters downtown, as the ending's title suggests.
