Murder Mystery Event

From SPS Wiki

The Murder Mystery event is a detective-themed Parallel Event in Blush Blush. It first ran from March 24 to March 28, 2025, exclusively on the Steam version, spanning a total of four days. Completing the event rewarded Xianyun as a dateable character.

As this event takes place within a Parallel Universe, things such as Time Blocks, Speed Boosts, Hobbies and other things are reset, meaning you start from scratch and work your way from the ground up.

This Event features "Goals", which can be completed in order to earn various items and boosts that are helpful in progressing further in the event, such as Speed Boosts, Time Skips, Time Blocks, Money, and Clues. Additionally, some goals offer rewards for the Main Game, such as an Event Achievement and an array of outfits. If you complete every Goal before the event ends, you will be able to unlock the grand prize: a fully date-able Guy for the Main Game.

How to Access Now

[edit | edit source]

This event is not being re-run as it now serves as the Newcomer Event for Blush Blush, functioning like the Fuzzy Festival Event in Crush Crush. As the Newcomer Event, each new player is granted one free opportunity to enter the Murder Mystery portal; afterwards, the event becomes a purchasable bundle.[1][2]

The event bundle is available in the Store (Steam only)[3]; once purchased, it can be initiated by clicking “Start” and runs for fourteen (14) days. Although the in-game text states, “Your timer starts as soon as you make your purchase.”, the timer actually begins only after clicking “Start,”. The event can be restarted as many times as desired after the timer expires.[4]

Duration

[edit | edit source]

The Newcomer and bundle/store versions have different deadlines to complete the event.

  • The Newcomer version of the event only lasts for 4 days
  • The bundle/store version of the event lasts for 14 days

Cutscenes

[edit | edit source]

Opening Cutscene

[edit | edit source]

Upon entering the Event, you're greeted with an opening cutscene/dialogue which plays out as the following:

  1. (You find yourself somewhere both familiar and not familiar. It's almost like you've stepped into...)
  2. (A PARALLEL UNIVERSE!)
  3. (You're standing in an eclectic room. The atmosphere is unsettling. Almost creepy. The peace is broken when a rainbow-haired and well-dressed cutie barges in!)
  4. Eli: Welcome to Eli's Fantastical Murder Mystery Party!! Hey, waitaminute, I don't remember inviting you, stranger. Oh well! The more the merrier! I hope you brought your own magnifying glass.
  5. (A party? Cool! Time to mix, mingle, and maybe get rainbow-head's phone number?)

You then exit the Dialogue, and are greeted by Q-Bae explaining the event:

  1. Welcome to the Murder Mystery Event! This limited-time event takes place in a parallel universe where a bunch of hawt guys are attending a murder mystery party.
  2. In this universe, all your detective-y jobs and mysterious hobbies start at level 0. The same goes for any guys you meet, and they’ll pay out Clues as you get to know them!
  3. Make sure you spend your Clues while you can! Since Clues can’t travel between universes, you won’t be able to keep them once the Murder Mystery Event ends.
  4. The good news is, Diamonds CAN travel between universes! That means your Diamonds are shared between the Murder Mystery Event and your main game.
  5. By the way, you'll earn rewards based on the progress you make during the Murder Mystery Event. You can claim your rewards in the “Goals” tab.
  6. At the end of the event, any Outfits or Character rewards you’ve earned will travel back through the portal with you to your main game.
  7. Just remember, Speed Boosts, Time Blocks, and Clues CAN'T travel back with you, so spend them before the timer runs out!
  8. You can return to the main game any time by going to the “Return” tab!
  9. That about covers it. Have fun, and enjoy the Murder Mystery Event!

Ending Cutscene

[edit | edit source]
  1. (The end of the party draws near. All the clues have been collected, all the witnesses have been interviewed, and all the canapés have been eaten. It's time for the final reveal.)
  2. (Only... none of the guests seems to have the "murderer" card in their envelope!)
  3. Eli: "It simply can't be! SOMEone must have messed something up. Wait a sec... Did I forget to open my own envelope?"
  4. Eli: "Oh-em-gee. It WAS me the whole time! I'm the murderer! LAWL! My bad."
  5. (Everyone rolls their eyes, and with that, the party ends - and the afterparty begins! You spend the rest of the night dancing, imbibing, and having fun.)
  6. (But soon the night is no longer young, and you can feel the portal calling you home.)
  7. (The portal closes around you, and... What’s that out of the corner of your eye? Was that a hawt guy jumping in after you...!?)

Event Currency

[edit | edit source]
A Clue.

In the Murder Mystery Event, Diamonds are substituted with a different type of currency, that being Clues. Clues can be used to buy Speed Boosts, Time Skips, Time Blocks, go on Dates and buy Gifts. They are obtained by advancing through relationship levels with each girl, and completing certain Goals. In addition, you can also purchase varying amounts of Clues by trading in Diamonds for them. Once the event is over, Clues cannot be used elsewhere and are not kept intact for when the event comes back around.

Dialogue List

[edit | edit source]

Adversary

  • Careful! Don't sneak up behind me. There are a lot of glass antiques in here, and I'm told I'm QUITE the screamer!
  • You'll have to excuse me, I need to go make sure there's murder junk in all the right places. BRB!
  • Next time you come to one of my parties, you'd better follow the dress code, or you're getting a spanking! I guess you can take that as a threat or an offer...
  • No worries, friend. No unexpected guest will kill Eli's vibe! Tee hee! Wordplay is fun! And yet, it's still not my favorite kind of play.
  • Isn't this place great? When I saw it, I KNEW I needed to bring the drama! The owner's kind of a recluse, but nothing little ol' me couldn't handle!
  • The other guests are Kelby, a cinnamon roll, Poe, a cinnamon roll, Garret, a cinnamon roll, and Cole, NOT a cinnamon roll. There! Introductions done!
  • That tickle was bad. Pick your least favorite Sherlock adaptation. It was that one.
  • Hang on, I thought you didn't know about the party. But you brought me a gift? Sending some mixed signals here, hunnybun! Toss it by the front door and I'll look at it later.

[edit | edit source]
  1. Before we continue, I'm gonna need a few "gestures" to prove you're not a party pooper. Start by rubbing your tummy, patting your head, and licking your elbow.
  2. JK sweetheart, I'm such a b-word! Now what are we waiting for? LET'S PAAARRTYY!!! Tee hee!

Acquaintance

  • Not to brag, but having this party was a killer idea. Tee hee!
  • Don't get your panties in a twist if the clues lead you to a dead end, sweetheart. Life is full of ups and downs. Ups and downs. Ups and downs. What were we talking about again?
  • Everyone here got an envelope telling them if they were the killer or not. I mixed them all up before handing them out, which is why I don't know who the killer is either. Yay social deduction!
  • Turn that frown into a gown, Cinderella. The night's still young! There's LOTS of time to solve the mystery, eat ALL the snacks, and maybe fool around with a mysterious party host? I'm kidding! Maybe.
  • My dear sweet poppet. You look stressed. Come - allow me to show you the epitome of serenity... The owner of this house has a water feature in the baaaathroooom! Ah, decadence!
  • It is my very sincere pleasure to meet you. I suppose if we are to be friends, you and I, we can now admit our darkest secrets to each other. You go first!
  • [Same as Adversary]
  • Not bad. But real talk? You can't be good at everything, you'll show everyone up. So pick one: "sugar bear" or "master murder mystery solver". I know which one I'm rooting for!

  1. I may be the one who threw this party, but that doesn't mean I know who the murderer is! Let's team up and figure it out together. Handshake!
  2. Aha! That handshake was poisoned! No, that's a lie. Where would I even get poison? I'm bored now. Let's get snacks.

Frenemy

[edit | edit source]
  • Have you seen Garret? He's tall, dark, handsome, and he's supposed to be my dead body... but he's disappeared. Creepy. Oh well! I hope he's having fun, wherever he is!

  1. I just realized that we're barely acquainted! Quick, tell me something about yourself. Were you ever in the Superwholock fandom?
  2. Hee hee! That was a trick question. Besides, it would tell me more about what you plan to do with the guests, instead of what you think of my party.

Frenemy

  • I feel like going up to Cole and accusing him of being the murderer. I don't have any evidence, I just want to see his reaction. He's taking this whole thing SO seriously...
  • I couldn't decide between a masquerade party or a murder mystery party. But then, from a magical taco commercial on TV, I heard the prophetic words "Porque no los dos?" and thought—why not both? Everyone cheered!
  • Well, the only thing to do is talk to everyone as much as possible. To catch the killer, you have to cast a wide net. One made of glitter, basketballs, sad poems, flannel, and fake blood.
  • I like playing dress up. It feels like an excuse to be ten times the spectacle I usually am! Why am I telling you this? It's important to prepare you for what "being friends with Eli" is like.
  • Alright, let's compare notes on our findings. I'll go first. Guess who's a total cuddle slut? Tee hee! It's me!
  • You look like you got dressed in a barn. When the party's done, I need to take a good long look in your closet. If this is normal, we need to do the responsible thing, and go shopping!
  • Don't be shy darling. I'm a bit of a pendulum - I swing both ways. If you've got a friendly smile and a hard body, I wouldn't mind a snuggle.

  1. If you feel like you're getting close to solving the mystery, can you make me one eency weency promise?
  2. Don't tell anyone but me about your theory! But tell me you HAVE a theory in front of everyone else. That way we make them suspicious about the secrets we're keeping. Oooh, the scandal!

First Meeting

  • You're rubbing your temples, thinking harder than you've ever thought before, when you're startled by a figure suddenly emerging from the nearby shadows.
  • Immediately, you notice this guy has killer vibes. But not killer as in "cool" - killer as in "maybe actually capable of murder"!
  • "Thought you could give me the slip, did you? Well too bad - I've had my eye on you since the moment you walked in... And to my eye? You look at least as guilty as the rest..."

Adversary

Pop-up Dialogue

[edit | edit source]
  • Our investigation begins. Don't worry, I've got your back. I'll be behind you every step of the way. Every. Single. Step. Watching you. Be careful not to slip up!
  • We can work together... For now. It'll be exciting. Plunging into danger together, pursuing a murderer, solving this most taboo of crimes in this thematically fitting, strangely erotic location - I mean exotic.
  • To catch a killer, we must first think like one. Close your eyes. Let your mind wander in the shadows. Find the bloodlust... Now tell me, how good did it feel when you killed him? No? Worth a try...
  • Notice the small details. Look back to the scene of the crime. Did the murderer leave any clues? Did you notice anything out of place? Don't neglect the obvious - the killer could be right under your nose. Or mine.
  • Make no mistake, we are on a chase. In pursuit of prey, which leaps ahead and tries to lose us. Only in this case the predators could yet be prey... The lion, trying to catch its own tail. I don't trust you, and you shouldn't trust me.
  • I hope you're taking this little game of ours seriously. I'll lose serious respect for you if you're not. Like that oaf playing our dead body who won't stay dead. Maybe he needs some help getting into character?
  • Don't toy with me!! Oh, hahaha, sorry. I think I startle a little easier with all this dramatic tension. Please be cautious. I would feel... Terrible... If I maimed you. By accident.
  • What's this? A gift? Are you trying some feeble "good cop, bad cop" ploy? Because I don't see anyone here imposing enough to play the bad cop with me...

Upgrade to Acquaintance:

  1. Our killer is likely ten steps ahead of us. We shall need to pick up our pace if we are to catch up. Or are they, perhaps, closer at hand than one of us realizes?
  2. Let's not rush off chasing shadows, but rather proceed, side by side, where we can keep an eye on one another.

Pop-up Dialogue

  • You know avoiding me just makes you look more suspicious, right? You should probably stick close from now on or else I might be tempted to make a formal accusation.
  • This party is off to a rough start. I heard that even the estate swans were found dead in their pond. They suspect fowl play. Heh. Anyway, we should pick up the pace.
  • There's something about the way your voice breaks... When grief wraps its soft hands around your throat, and squeezes ever so lightly... It stirs something in me. You reveal your mind so easily... I just thought you should know.
  • Let's trade notes. What do you think about our host, Eli? I don't trust him, and yet we'd better hope he's not the one we're looking for. A dark and devious killer is one thing, but a gleeful one? That's just messed up.
  • Look at me for a moment. Yes, that's it. There is something in the way you look at the world that intrigues me. How much brighter it must seem. I envy those sparkling eyes. But what lurks behind them, I wonder?
  • Quickly - there's another crime scene. Upstairs. But be discreet - I don't think any of the others have figured it out yet. I'm only sharing what I've found with you because I want to gauge your reaction in real time.

Pop-up Dialogue

[edit | edit source]
  • I know we're on the clock, and time is running out, but there's a lot more red wine involved in a murder mystery party than I was aware of. *Hicc!*
  • I saw you spending quite a bit of time with that empty-headed ball boy, Kelby. Do you suspect him? I must admit I hadn't pegged him as clever enough to BE duplicitous, but why else would you seek out his company?
  • Oh! Hello, you caught me... Stalking you. You should be doing more of that, yourself. You can never be too watchful around murder suspects.
  • Hahaha. You have such a devious mind, and a rancorous sense of humor. It's not doing much to dissuade me from believing you're the killer. Maybe I don't mind.
  • Hmm. You're too friendly. I can't tell if it's a clever ploy to get the rest of these imbeciles to drop their guards, or if you're just too foolish to know you're compromising yourself. Either way, I need to monitor you much more closely...
  • I'm not hovering by the snack table waiting for them to put out more pigs in a blanket... I'm lurking on the edge of conversations waiting to hear some juicy information. The fact that pigs in a blanket are also juicy is immaterial to the situation.
  • This is fun. I mean, the life-or-death suspicion of each other is not so fun. But everything else is going swimmingly. I hope nobody cracks this case...

  1. I have an idea. You should kiss me. Perhaps it shall bring inspiration - a muse to help us in our darkest hour.

Pop-up Dialogue

[edit | edit source]
  • Well, this is certainly an interesting twist in the story. For the both of us, our number one suspect is also our closest confidante. ...I am your number one suspect, correct? How dramatic!
  • You have such a fire in your eyes when you're determined. You must truly adore solving puzzles and getting to know people. I wonder what fires you would see in my eyes...
  • Perhaps we should set a trap for our killer. Do you suppose one of our fellow party guests would be willing to be 'bait' for us? I feel as though they would, if YOU asked them. ``
  • Just because I can't trust you doesn't mean I can't like you. And I do like you. Quite a bit, actually. But don't think that means I've lowered my guard. Although if you were thinking that, I'd respect your ruthlessness...
  • I'm pretty confident our murderer isn't Poe. Not that I think that sulky little emo isn't capable of murder... He just strikes me more as the poisoning type, and there's far too much blood at the crime scene for that.
  • Have you ever thought about following someone home, quietly figuring out every detail of their life's schedule, and slowly integrating yourself into it to gain their attention? For murder solving purposes, I mean... Obviously.
  • Shh. Stay close. I have the feeling we're being watched. Take my hand and don't worry. Every move you make, every breath you take, I'll be watching.
  • Tour the estate grounds with me. I want to look at the stars, and feel the infinite dread of distance and emptiness hanging above me. It's good to take company along, in case I stare into the abyss too long, and need someone to call me back.
  • I don't know what you see in that Garret fellow. I mean, he is an attractive mess of physicality and good nature. But his guilelessness is a danger. He'd better watch out he doesn't get murdered for real.
  • Hmmm.... I'm not sure I should tell you, but a gentle tickle to the nape of my neck... Well, I'll give you anything you want, when you do that. Don't misuse your power to make me divulge my secrets, though...
  • Ahh, how sweet. I shall put this on the altar I've built of you in my closet. Hahaha! Just kidding, my dear. There's only skeletons in my closet, I assure you.

  • I have grown so fond of you. Now I find the thought of losing you, of sharing you... intolerable. What would it take, I wonder, to make you forget everyone else at this party... I'm tempted to cage you and keep you to myself forever...
  • It breaks me to know this party must soon draw to a close. Such a shame. How shall I return to the outside world, when I have tasted a far more dangerous point of view...
  • You make things better. That is the deepest compliment I can summon. Well perhaps... Not quite. Your eyes shine with a light that chases away every dark thought I have. And you have a cute smile.
  • Our killer has gone silent. Perhaps they caught wind of our pursuit, and rightly feared continuing. Perhaps they have simply found something better to divert their obsession toward. We may never know the truth.
  • Just once, for old time's sake, would you mind accusing me of some blood curdling crime? There is something magical in it. Ahhhh... Yeeeeeeaaaaaa...

  • Hello again. I'm still here. I'll always be here. Oh! Did I mention that after the party, I'm planning on following you home?
  • We may not have cracked this case, but I think we have found something perhaps more valuable in one another. I suspect you'll have quite the time trying to get rid of me...
  • You need to hold me. Now. Hold me as though I'm the one you've been searching for all along. Hold me so that I cannot breathe. Yes... Your embrace is the only thing that makes me feel safe or sane.
  • You're so cute when you contemplate. Every thought traces itself along your lips and brow, and I admit I have a nearly irresistible urge to kiss them. Blessing your every thought with my lips.
  • Oh there you are! I thought I had... I thought you were gone. Gosh, I was so afraid! Haha! HAHAHAA!
  • Where are you going?! Oh, excuse me. I was just thinking about you wandering the halls of this mansion alone and unprotected and... Scared myself. How ridiculous! But really, are you following some new theory? Want some company?
  • I'm going to tell Eli his snack table is sorely lacking in options for carnivores. Bloody cupcakes are so infantile. A platter of blood red carpaccio would be so much more thematically fitting! And it'd be something I can sink my teeth into.
  • I saw you with Garret just now. I wonder how long you'll keep trying to solve his "murder". I hope not much longer - you don't owe him justice. Because he seems fine to me...
  • All these other party guests... They don't deserve you. They don't deserve your care, your smile, your laugh. They should be thanking their lucky stars every moment that you even pay them any attention...
  • I was thinking... Maybe we should go for a walk, find a tree, and carve our names into it. And then burn that tree, so it stops growing, and preserves our names forever. Wouldn't that be romantic?
  • I accidentally pierced myself with a fondue fork earlier. The blood that dripped into the molten cheese was... So red. Have you ever just looked at blood? It's... bloody incredible. Also, stick to the chocolate fountain for the rest of the night.
  • My heart races just talking to you. Do you ever get that? That rush of adrenaline. The sound of your heart beating in your ears. That blur or urgent need to bite the person you obsess over? No? Just me?
  • You're wonderful. It's true. I asked around, spoke with nearly everyone in the mansion tonight. Almost like an investigation of my own. I'm quite jealous of all your... Admirers.
  • You're so clever. I want to stick your brain in a jar and study it for science. Sorry, was that a little too macabre? What can I say, this spooky old house has me getting in touch with my inner Doctor Frankenstein.
  • Hahaha! I'm afraid you'll get no confessions from me that way, my dear. You'll have to try much MUCH harder.
  • Thank you. Though you know that all I really desire is your time and attention, perhaps a lock of your hair... Gifts are fun!
  • Your scheme to buy my loyalty with gifts and flattery is useless. I'm already yours. You need only take what you want.

Date Dialogue

[Dinner] It would be so easy to poison someone's meal, if a killer worked in the foodservice industry... You don't think Poe supplements his poet's income with a line cook job, do you?

[Boat Ride] That pond is simply riddled with ducks. I wonder if those beady little eyes of theirs saw anything suspicious. But how to pry the truth from those bills...

[Coaster] Oh all right, I enjoyed myself. You need to stop this whole, "Told you so" thing. It's rather beneath you, I think.
