Eli/Hush Hush

Eli Kawase is an optional romance character in Hush Hush. He is the older brother of Iro, and the son of Saji Kawase.
He hooks the player up with Iro to try and get her to date again after a breakup. He is very flamboyant and flirty and is willing to hook up and make moves on anyone he finds attractive, he also enjoys wearing dresses and tends to switch from being masculine to feminine depending on what he feels like.
Appearance
[edit | edit source]Eli is a slim male with wavy hair with a mix of blue pink yellow and green. He has orange eyes and light skin. During his introduction he is wearing a yellow sundress with a sunflower necklace added with a sunhat. Whenever you visit him at the mall he is wearing a white collar shirt with a pink vest and purple necktie. He also wears brown shorts with brown flats.
Personality
[edit | edit source]Eli is very seductive and flirty whilst also being quite playful and showing interest in fashion. He makes a lot of sexual innuendos, finding the player attractive and referring to them with flirty remarks. On his first date (July 5th), the player gets to ask about his sexuality and pronouns. He responds saying that he is "not being interested in what's in your pants, unless he's trying to get into them." When asking about pronouns, he explains that he is a new Eli every day, going from wearing dresses, going to the gym, etc.
Although he is perverted and flirty during most of the game, it is shown he does care a lot about Iro's and the players feelings. On July 11th the player can tell Eli that they have fallen for Iro to which Eli accepts and agrees to stop going on dates with you so he wouldn't get in the way. When you select the option to say ["...and now you get a reminder every year."] on July 28th, Iro will explain how Eli managed to snap her out of her depressive state by dressing up as a mom and taking care of her if she is successfully rushed to the hospital. Iro also says he was her mom and best friend. On the same day Saji will explain that Eli told him about Iro talking of love and happiness when with the player.
If the player chooses not to break up with Iro during their 4th date with her, Eli texts her on July 22nd telling her that their dad is at the hospital with implied panic (in reality, Cassie will be arrested instead). If you finish the game with no dark karma as well as successfully complete Eli's two dates, he will be amazed at how you managed to make Iro 'happy again' and get his father's "stick out of his rear".
Trivia

- He is confirmed to be pansexual by Sad Panda Studios.
- His hair smells like exotic essential oil, according to the 18+ DLC.
- If you ask Eli where he gets the money on his second date, he states he has a sugar daddy/mama who works a million jobs and is as cute as a marshmallow (referencing Marshmallow from Blush Blush).
